How To Find Us
Balmedie lies to the East of the Aberdeen/Ellon dual carriageway approximately ten miles from the centre of Aberdeen. It is the largest community in Belhelvie Parish.
Properties
It is a mainly residential area but there are also a number of business premises scattered throughout the village.
Public Transport
The bus service is relatively good as busses serving Ellon, Fraserburgh and Peterhead pass the end of the village road. Most residents however, use private cars for transport.
Shops and Services
There is a well used country park with access to miles of superb beach that is regularly praised at a national level. The community facilities include a library, a leisure centre, two public house/restaurants, shops, post-office and garage. The local churches are also situated around the village. The primary school is in the village itself and secondary school children are bussed to either Aberdeen or Ellon. The local doctors' surgery is in Bridge of Don but there is an alternative Medical Centre at Ellon.
