Potterton
Improvement Priorities
Thank you to all those who took part in the recent Village Improvement Meeting for Potterton, on Monday 28 March, at Potterton Community Centre. Here are a few pictures from the event that give a flavour of what took place. We'll report back with the next steps once the outcomes have been analysed. (Click on a picture to enlarge it.)
How To Find Us
Potterton lies on the B999 just over the Aberdeen City boundary. It was a small agricultural community until the coming of oil to the North East when it suddenly saw a surge of development to become the village it is today.
Properties
It is a mainly residential area but there is a small industrial site to the South of the village.
Public Transport
The bus service is reasonable as two services pass through the village. Most residents however, use private cars for transport.
Shops and Services
There is a village shop, public house and community centre. The primary school is at Balmedie and secondary school children are bussed to Bridge of Don Academy. The local doctors' surgery is in Bridge of Don but the practice also run a surgery at Udny Station. There is an alternative Medical Centre at Ellon.
