Public Transport

The  bus service is somewhat limited, particularly at weekends and most residents use private cars for transport.

Shops and Services

The nearest local shops and post offices are in Potterton or Newmachar. The primary school is at Balmedie and secondary school children are bussed to either Aberdeen or Ellon. The local doctors' surgery is in Bridge of Don but the practice also operates a surgery at Udny Station, which is closer. An alternative Medical Centre at Ellon is also used by some residents.
